Meet Our Pastor
Pastor Daniel Knight and his wife, Melissa, have been at Bible Baptist for eighteen years. They have learned much over these many years of service and have a big heart to help the people of Coffeyville.
History
Bible Baptist Church was formed in 1956 as an independent Baptist church when a young preacher moved to Coffeyville after being stirred in his heart about the needs of this area and receiving encouragement from a Kansas pastor.
The church began meeting in a small home and then purchased a more spacious building. Later, a need to build a new auditorium arose, and in 2008 the church moved to its current location. Throughout its history, the church has consistently had pastors who preached God's Word boldly and people who were dedicated in their service for others.
Through the early days of the church's beginning, numerous building projects, transitions of ministries, the death of a beloved pastor, and a devastating flood, by the grace of God, Bible Baptist Church has remained resolute.
What We Do
After examining our identity, purpose, and plan, Bible Baptist Church identified five key principles that define our focus and guide our actions as a body of believers.
Beliefs
The Holy Scriptures, as contained in the Old and New Testaments, are the verbally inspired Word and Revelation of God, inerrant, infallible, and God breathed.
Jesus Christ is God the Son, virgin born, and the Creator by whom and for whom all things were created.
All regenerated people are baptized into the body of Christ by the Spirit, and the Holy Spirit indwells believers.
God is triune: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, three persons in one.
Jesus Christ made substitutionary atonement by His blood, and all must be born again.
The Lord Jesus Christ rose bodily, ascended bodily into heaven, and now ministers as Mediator, High Priest, and Advocate.
Man is justified on the single ground of faith in the shed blood of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
All believers in the Lord Jesus Christ are eternally secure.
Jesus Christ is King, and we look for His personal, premillennial, and imminent return.
